Swiss Club Tokyo Ski Week 2026 – Sunshine, Showers, and Swiss Spirit

From February 22 to 27, 2026, the Swiss Club Tokyo once again gathered in Shiga Kogen for its annual Ski Week, returning to our long-standing home base, the ever-reliable Hotel Alpenburg, ideally located next to the lifts in the Giant area.

This year, 18 participants joined the week, with varying arrival and departure dates. Tuesday, February 24, marked the peak of the gathering, when the largest number of members were on site and enjoying the slopes together.

While temperatures were unseasonably high, we were treated to mostly pleasant weather throughout the week. One day of steady rain tested our resolve, but true enthusiasts still managed a few runs—especially those who had secured lift tickets in advance.

As always, the social side was as important as the skiing. Pre- and post-dinner get-togethers in the lounge, complete with drinks, snacks, and lively conversations, rounded out each day perfectly.

All in all, it was another enjoyable and memorable Ski Week, once again proving that good company matters just as much as good snow.

Looking ahead:
Next year’s Ski Week will take place one week earlier, from February 15 to 19, with hopes for cooler temperatures and improved slope conditions.
